Dhara

Dhara Sheth is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Advisor/trainer and a Mental Health & School Counselor (MSc, MA).

Recently, she moved to Sydney and is looking for a job in the DEIB field; through Student Services departments, Research opportunities, and government, and non-government organizations.

She has more than 10 years of professional experience working with diverse groups of individuals, small groups, and communities in Germany, the US, and India. Due to her international experience, she is highly adaptable and brings several transferable skills to work in fast-paced professional roles.

In her last position as a Diversity@UdS project coordinator at Saarland University (Germany), her focus was to develop diversity, equity & inclusion structures within the university and higher education structure. She offered consultations, events and information to the students and the employees of the university with the following themes:
- Diversity workshops & training
- study/work-life balance through the family office
- studying with disability and chronic illness through the contact point for studying with disabilities
- anti-racism projects along with the working group Ant-Racism
- LGBTQ and refugee advocacy
- individual coaching for researchers regarding career path and intercultural communication

Previously, she has worked in Oregon (USA) as a school and mental health counselor after completing her Masters degree in Counseling Education (MS) -- with a specialization in School Counseling (K-12). She has another Masters degree in Counseling Psychology (MA) from India that gives her unique culture and intercultural exposure.

She has also worked as an Educator and a Mentor for the school and college students, both domestic and international. She likes to volunteer and has participated in organizations working with refugees, victims of domestic violence, children living in poverty and other vulnerable populations.
